Aluminum four piston brake calipers for Lada

Two types of caliper using different brake pads. One can be fitted under the stock steel wheels of Lada. The other fits under some 13″ alloy wheel and wheels from 14″ up. The pad used for the 13″ version is from the CP3345 family. It gives you pad area of 43.47 cm² (6.73 in²), compared to the stock with 33 cm² (5.11 in²), which is 31.7% more contact area. This pad is available in nine friction materials. The bigger caliper is using CP7600 family pad. It has area of 43.5 cm² (6.74in²), compared to the stock 33 cm² (5.11 in²), it also gives 31.7% increase. The four piston calipers have a slightly larger piston arena (38,77 cm²), than the stock one 36.2 cm². This will give better clamping force than the stock. Pistons used are aluminum. They are different size to help better distribute the clamping force on the back of the pad. This will improve brakes performance and will eliminated wedge type wear on the brake pads. The calipers are equipped with stainless steel wear plates.

Other feature is the anti-rattle springs. They are mounted on blocks that are inserted in the voids where the brake pads are mounted. Using a close fit allowing to run a bolt through the sections of the caliper and tighten it in the middle, this is greatly increasing the rigidity of the caliper. Other thing that is helping in this direction is the pad guiding pins. The calipers are engineered to work with fixed, floating into hat and floating into disc brake setups. Other common feature is the backing plate that helps protect the disc from stones and dirt, allowing cooling air to be forced into the center of the ventilated brake disc. Installing either of this will require new steering arm. There is an option for piston springs.
